"Focus on Fitness" Wellness Weekend, March 27 -28, 2010

Strength For Life is proud to present our "Focus on Fitness, How to Survive and Thrive after Cancer Diagnosis" Wellness Weekend.

The weekend is held at NO COST to participants from Saturday to Sunday, March 27 - 28 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Islip, NY.  Accommodations, dining, and classes are included.


The variety of classes offered will include: strength training, yoga, tai chi, meditation and a reiki circle;

Dr. Roxanne Carfora, Functional Medicine Practitioner will be among the presenters of the weekend. The March wellness weekend is planned for SPOHNC (Support for Oral, Head and Neck Cancer).

  • Currently we are seeking sponsorships for our Wellness Weekends and our first annual "Evelyn Knapp" Memorial Run on November 21, 2010. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsorship.

         Thank you - everyone for your support! This was a very successful "fundraising event" with nearly $15000

         going to Strength for Life and our  programs.  AWESOME job! Sincerest gratititude to the jumpers; friends

         and family who came to cheer them on; and all of you who supported them.
